Repatriation, ha!

Life is fun in San Francisco. It's rather odd to be here again and know that I'm "just visiting". My sweetheart is here with me and I am so happy for that. It's fun to visit my homeland with someone who has never been here before - a bit of a twist on tourism. He's been taking pictures of EVERYTHING and causing me to see SF with a different perspective. Very cool. Perhaps a practice of being a tourist in my home city is one I could adopt. Every one else comes here on holiday, why not me too?

Gay Pride was this weekend in SF, and it was fun as ever! I miss the costume parties, the street fairs, and the unleashed creativity here when away. It's also fun to walk into a nightclub or party and run into people I haven't seen for a year or longer and pick up again without missing a beat.

All this does not mean repatriation, however. I am glad to have a new job waiting for me in Munich in August and my absentee ballot sorted here. All's that's left to do is to sort my stuff here - what do I want to toss/keep - and then enjoy the holiday! Yipee!

Hey great to hear from you! Here and on email. Sorry that I haven't got back to you earlier. Anyway...the class's okay. I'm going to venture into simple past tomorrow. And next week I'll figure out something fun for them to do after two weeks of boring grammar. Missing you and P here! You need to post those pics here!
